Show Rosemond Wood Gubler and James Mack Judd Marry In Las Vegas Monday Pres. Bryan L. Bunker of Moapa stake performed the ceremony at his home in Las Vegas, Monday evening, Mar. 6, which united in marriage the former Rosamond Wood Gubler of Hurricane, and James Mack Judd, U. S. Naval radio operator, formerly of LaVerkin. La-Verkin. and now located at Imperial Im-perial Beach, Calif. Witnessing the marriage ceremony cere-mony were immediate relatives of bride and groom, including the bride's parents, Ether Wood of Henderson, Nev., and Mrs. Wood of Hurricane; the groom's mother, Mrs. James Judd of St. George; the bride's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wilden Tweedie of Las Vegas; and the groom's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Finley M. Judd of Hurricane. Mrs. Tweedie and Mr. Judd stood up with the couple for the ceremony cere-mony as matron of honor and best man. The bride is a graduate of Hurricane Hur-ricane high school and was attending at-tending Dixie junior college at the time of her marriage. She has been prominent in social and music circles of Hurricane's younger set, and is the former Mrs. Donworth Gubler. After graduating from Hurricane Hurri-cane high school, the groom accompanied ac-companied his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Judd to Australia, where his father was president of the Australian mission. He attended at-tended the University of Sidney for several months before being assigned to full-time missionary work, which he continued until the evacuation from Australia in 1940. Returning home he attended at-tended the University of Utah one year, and Woodbury's Business college in Los Angeles one year Before enlisting with the U. S. Navy late in 1942. He trained first at the University of Moscow, Ida., and later graduated from advanced courses in radio communications com-munications at Bainbridge, Wash. For the past ten months he has been stationed at the U. S. Naval radio station at Imperial Beach, CMif. Following the marriage ceremony cere-mony the wedding party had dinner din-ner in Las Vegas, the couple leading Tuesday, Mar. 7th, for San Diego, where they will make their- home for the present. |
