Show TOQUERYILLE Mrs. Rowena W. Slack Reporter Pfc. Louis Naegle left Sunday for March Field, Riverside, Calif., where he will report to continue his duties as a weather observer in the Army air corps. Mrs. Reta Morris returned on Wednesday from the McGregor hospital, where she had been for a week. Sunday night the Toquerville ward Relief Society presented an interesting program. Mrs. Grant Harris and daughters daugh-ters of St. George visited dver the week end at the home of Mrs. Harris' grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Higbee. Rev. Charles Hamilton, chairman chair-man of the Red Cross drive reports re-ports that Toquerville's quota was $170 and that they went over the top with a total of $176. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Beatty entertained en-tertained at a dinner party Saturday Sat-urday evening honoring Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Stapley. Mr. Stap-ley Stap-ley left Tuesday morning for Salt Lake City to report to the U. S. Army. Visitors at our Sacrament meeting meet-ing were stake presidency, Elmer Graff, LaFell Iverson and Ivan Barrett. They gave very inspiring talks. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Williams of Kanarra spent Thursday visiting visit-ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Higbee. Mrs. Belle JBringhurst is visiting visit-ing at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ervil Sanders. |
