Show Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. Winsor Honored Here An opportunity to visit with many relatives and friends was afforded Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. (Frank) Winsor of Enterprise Sunday, Mar. 12, when their nieces, Miss Tillie Winsor and Mrs. Calvin Dalton united in holding open house for them at Miss Winsor's home. Mr. Winsor was 80 years of age Feb. 18, and Mrs. Winsor's birthday anniversary occurred during last week. Seated with them was their sister-in-law, Mrs. Alydia Terry Winsor, also well-known well-known in this area. Both women were pioneer telegraph operators in this area. The rooms were decorated with bowls of narcissus and almond blossoms, the serving table having hav-ing a large bowl of narcissus. Pouring were two adopted daughters daugh-ters of the couple, Mrs. Walter Winsor of Ivins, the former Victoria Vic-toria Tobiason of Iceland, and her niece, Mrs. Woodruff Holt of Enterprise, En-terprise, the former Dorothy Tobiason. To-biason. Serving were a granddaughter, grand-daughter, Miss Zcnetta Winsor of Ivins, Miss Helen Brooks, and Miss Beulah Blake of St. George, and Miss Imogene Holt of Enterprise. Enter-prise. Guests were received by Miss Winsor and Mrs. Dalton. Music for the afternoon was furnished by the Dixie string ensemble, en-semble, including Mrs. Mae A. Pace, Mrs. Irene Everett, Mrs. Evan S. Pickett, Miss Dawn Andrus, An-drus, Paul Tompson and Stanton Schmutz. More than 125 visitors called during the afternoon including friends from Veyo, Ivins, Washington, Wash-ington, Santa Clara and St. George. A noon dinner honoivd them with places for 12. |
