Show WASHINGTON Mrs. Lenzy Hoopes Mrs. Caddie Neilson Reporters Mrs. Ruth Hoopes returned home Wednesday from Greenville, Utah where she attended the funeral of a relative, Mrs. Sarah Jane Martin. Bert Connell of Las Vegas spent the week end here with his daughter, Mrs. Harold Prisbrey and son, C. R. Connell. John Watkins left for the armed arm-ed service Monday. This leaves his wife and two babies to carry on af the service station. A nephew, neph-ew, Theo Pendleton will also help her. Mr. and Mrs. John Averett and family of Boulder City, Nevada spent Sunday here with their mother, Mrs. Martha Averett. Mr. and Mrs. Ormon Wilkins returned home from California Sunday where they have spent a month visiting their children. Lt.fj.g.) and Mrs. Antone Nis-son Nis-son left Wednesday for San Diego where Lt. Nisson has been transferred trans-ferred from Farragut, Idaho. They have been here a week visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Nisson and with her brother, broth-er, R. N. Ashby in St. Gorge. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hafen returned re-turned home Sunday from Salt Lake City where they had been to meet their son, Darrell, who was being transferred to New Jersey. Although they only got to visit with him for 20 minutes, they felt the trip was worth while. Alvin Neilson took his mother to Cedar City last week where she will spend some time with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dave C. Bullock. Mr and Mrs. Wallace Iverson entertained at a family dinner Friday honoring their son, Cpl. Malin Iverson and his wife on their wedding anniversary. Mrs. Jennie Hall, who has been confined to her bed for the past ten days is improving. Her sister, sis-ter, Lena Nelson has been here taking care of her. Mrs. Lisle Bigler, who came down from Nephi to attend the funeral services of her father, Israel Neilson, is spending a few days visiting relatives here. Mrs. William Miller was hostess host-ess to the I. O. M. club Thursday afternoon. Special guests were Mrs. Ferrol Hafen of St. George and Mrs. Ben Jolley. Alvin Neilson left, Sunday for Salt Lake City upon receiving word that his daughter, Betty, w-ho has been there for medical treatment for some time is not so well. Wallace Iverson and Lydia Stephens entertained their Sunday school class at a dancing party I Saturday night. |
