Show St. George Relief Societies Hold Anniversary Programs The four St. George wards are this week marking the 103 birthday birth-day anniversary of the Relief Society organization with appropriate appro-priate programs. March 17, 18-12, was the date of the first meeting in Nauvoo, 111. Sunday, March 11, was chosen by the East ward for their commemoration com-memoration program. It was given in connection with the afternoon Sacrament meeting, with Mrs. Moroni McArthur, ward president, conducting. On the program were two numbers by the East ward singing mothers, directed by Mrs. Earl J. Bleak and Mrs. Gerald Blake; talk, "Home, A Place of Encouragment," by Mrs. J. Clinton Clin-ton Snow; dialogue, "The Unseen Basket," by Mrs. E. C. Thompson and Mrs. Lee J. Esplin; reading, Mrs. Ronald Ccttam; and benediction, benedic-tion, Mrs. Everett Syphus. The Center ward organization is staging its program on Saturday Satur-day evening, March 17, in the recreation hall, with all ward members, both men and women, from 18 to 90 invited. The evening's eve-ning's entertainment will include a routine of games, music, readings read-ings and dancing along with light refreshments. Special interest will be given to the history of the organization and its present day activities. |
