Show Shirl Neilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Neilson has enlisted with the Merchant Marines, having hav-ing left from Salt Lake City on March 12 for his training post. '. Mr., and Mrs.. Frank Prince ar-ived ar-ived Friday form Boulder City for an extended stay. Mr. Prince is recovering from a recent attack of pneumonia. ' . Wenzcl Hemenway, formerly of Provo, who is now employed at Cedar City, visited in St. George with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Hemenway last week.' Mr. and Mrs. Walter Anderson and Mrs. Ellsie Decker spent the week end here from Salt Lake City with their mother, Mrs. Eliza Ann Anderson of Toquerville, Toquer-ville, who died late Sunday night. Nolan Lee returned last week to Overton, Nevada, Mrs. Lee remaining re-maining to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Blazzard. and family. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Whitehead have received word of the birth of a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Howard Whitehead of Los Angeles on March 3. Mr. and Mrs. William Smith and children of Salt Lake City visited Sunday over Tuesday with their sister-in-law, Mrs. Leo G. Smith and family. Guests this week of Mayor and Mrs. D. C. Watson were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Edwards of Burlin-game, Burlin-game, Calif., parents-in-law of Mrs. Toni Watson Edwards. They were here to greet their first grandson. Adams and her sister, Miss Ellen Raye Cottam I made a business trip to Las Vegas Saturday. Mrs. Gladen Dalton and small son arrived Friday from Salt Lake City to visit her mother, Mrs. Maud Cottam and other relatives. Von B. Cottam visited in St. George Sunday on his way home to Salt Lake City from a business trip to Las Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Adams made a business trip to Overton, Nev. last Friday, where Mr. Adams took school pictures. Lee Owens came up from Hawthorne, Haw-thorne, Calif. Monday evening on business, returning late Tuesday. Mrs. Mark Brinkerhoff and her sister, Miss Melba Levanger left Saturday for San Diego. Mrs. Brinkerhoff to remain with her husband who is stationed there. Miss Levanger to visit for ten days. Mr. and Mrs. Lindau Foremas-ter Foremas-ter left last Friday for Los Angeles with their son. E. J., aged 6 who injured his eye while playing play-ing early last week. Mr. Fore-master Fore-master returned to St. George over Tuesday and reports they have the boy in the Ear and Eye hospital where the specialist has pronounced the injury very serious. ser-ious. A large group of friends and relatives called last Sunday evening eve-ning at the home of Mrs. Roma Reber to visit with her brother, Elmer Larson, prior to his departure depart-ure for military induction. E. L. Jarvis spent Sunday and Monday in St. George visiting and on business. He is at present employed em-ployed in Las Vegas. Mrs. R. A. Williams and daughter, daugh-ter, Shirley Rae Of Salt Lake City are visiting for two weeks at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Paxman. The program given recently by children from the Shevwit Indian Reservation in the South ward meeting, will be presented in the Santa Clara ward Sacrament meeting on Sunday. This program is under the direction of Dr. and Mrs. G. D. Hyatt. A great granddaughter and twin great-grandsons were added to the posterity of Charles W. (Uncle Charley) Seegmiller over the week end. On March 9 a daughter was born to Lt. and Mrs. Howard Ahlstrom in Hemet, Calif., and on Saturday, March 10, twin sons were born to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Seegmiller of St. George. Mrs. E. Eric Snow left Wednesday Wed-nesday for Salt Lake City to visit with her brother, Dr. Samuel Bleak, who is still in the hospital. |
