Calif., was a visitor last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Beatty. - - - Walter Thayne has returned to his employment in Wyoming after spending the winter here with his family. Sterling Hill of Beaver River, Idaho was a visitor last week at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Bringhurst. Clara Williams was a week end visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Bringhurst. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Beatty and family of Pioche, Nevada are visiting here at the G. I. Beatty home. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Spencer and daughters were Sunday visitors visit-ors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Seymour Stapley. Miss Gloria Jones entertained a group of children at a birthday party Monday. Mrs. Bessie Fish entertained the Soldier's Wives Sewing club on Wednesday at her home. Special guests were Mrs. LeGrande Spils-bury, Spils-bury, Mrs. Leona Beatty and Mrs. Virginia Lobark. Mrs. Ruth Hardy is visiting in Springdale with her husband, Pvt. Wesley Hardy, who is home on furlough from Camp Fannin, Tex. Mrs. Betty Fish left Thursday for California where she will visit her husband, Lewis Fish, who is stationed at Camp Roberts, Calif. Cpl. Sumner Stearns is here visiting with his wife, the former Evelyn Stack. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Slack spent the past week visiting here prior to his induction into the army on Monday. Sunday evening a program pro-gram was given honoring him. after which Mr. and Mrs. Francis Slack entertained a group of friends at their home. Mr. and Mrs. LeGrande Spils-bury Spils-bury have purchased the home of Mrs. Annie Barton, which is now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Bringhurst. Mr. and Mrs. Myrle Weyant of Fredonia were visitors here last week at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Charles Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Adams returned home Sunday from Kanab where they have spent the past month. Miss Dixie. Kleinman returned to Salt Lake City on Sunday after spending a week here visiting. Clyde Mclntyre of Oakland Calif, is visiting at the home ot Mr. and Mrs. William Bringhurst. "' Wayne Porter arrived Tuesday from Logan, to visit his mother, Mrs. W. H. Slack. . Word 'has' been received by Mr. and Mrs Harry Slack that their son, Cpl. George H: Slack has arrived in France. George and Dan Kleinman left Tuesday for Ogden where Dan went for medical treatment. Wilmer Anderson returned Wednesday Wed-nesday from Salt Lake City where he went for induction into the armed forces. He was rejected. Mrs. Robert Bacon entertained friends and relatives Wednesday evening Feb. 28, honoring her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Parkinson Park-inson of Pintura, who observed their fortieth wedding anniversary on that date. Refreshments were served to twenty-two guests, out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Lenzy Hoopes of Washington Washing-ton and Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Asay of St. George. |
