The annual horse show as now planned wiU prove to a popular phase of the livestock show. Lovers of v fir.e horses will have an excellent . opportunity to see their favorite i , i, ar-iuls perform. The new famous horses from the siab'.es of Joseph W. Grant of Springviiie. Utah, are to provide special entertainment. Mr. Grant's ' five gaited horses have performed before thousands of people this season. Mrs. Juar.ita Howell, trick rider and roper, will provide some really fancy show-rir.g skill. Rodeo Mif crowds at Cheyenne. Wyo.. Monte Ci Vsta. Colo., and many other cities in the U. S. and Canada have JJ been thrilled with her exhibitions. In addition to these special fca-JJj fca-JJj hires, the horse show sponsored by the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce will give local horse-men horse-men and women an opportunity to provide fast and varied e.xcite-7jl e.xcite-7jl ment with Civic Club relay, musical mu-sical chairs, turn the stake, and other exciting races, along with 3 jumping. The show will be pre-. pre-. ceded by a parade from North 3i ilain street to the MAC stadium, stadi-um, where the show will be held. Ci Mr. Otto Fife will be the show 3 announcer, with Mr. Douglas - Clark as ring master and Major 31! Henderson of U S A C, judge. The show will be climaxed by the auction sale held on the final day. September 15. The show features fea-tures the junior exhibitors and virtually all of the 4-H Clubs and Future Farmer chapters in Southern South-ern Utah will be represented. Both breeding and fat classes are of-fered of-fered for the various breeds of 2")t sheep, cattle and swine. Premiums this year will total S2000. while lf special prizes and awards will bring the figure well above this amount. Since the show's inception in 1S41 the sheep entries have been 3vl an outstanding feature of the show, and this year's event prom- ii isc'S to bring even greater compe- : tition in the sheep classes, both in 4i the junior division and in the open l classes. The fat as well as the fi breeding classes in the cattle show were well filled last year. , Entries already received point to an outstanding cattle show.
