Show Lii tie field Family Talks To Son In New York It does run into money to have a family sized visit of 24 minutes between Littlefield, Ariz., and New York City, says Mrs. Clark McKnight, but when its your son who has been absent in the military service for a year, expense is forgotten for-gotten in the thrill of the long distance visit. They had such a thrill recently. Richard McKnight, the soldier, is a radio technician, and he's had a great experience, and that North African bout will be something to remember, a much bigger story than the newspapers, which told plenty, could ever completely com-pletely cover. The Philadelphia was one of the ships listed in the reports. Mrs. McKnight says they had not heard from their son for some time and it was a real thrill to hear his voice as clearly as if he were in the room with her. She said he was plenty cheerful and told them not to worry because be-cause the U. S. and the allies are going to see the big job through. He expects to be back into things right away. |
