Show ENTERPRISE Mrs. Theresa Huntsman Mrs. Lillian Pace Reporters Mrs. Joseph A. Terry underwent surgery Wednesday in the Iron county hospital. Mr. Terry spent Wednesday and Thursday in Cedar City with her. Mr. and Mrs. John Cannon and two children are home from Las Vegas, due to ill health of Mr. Cannon. Since their arrival Mr. Cannon has received a letter from the War Department offering offer-ing him employment as mechanic at Fort Douglas. Mrs. John I. Pace spent the week end in Cedar City shopping and visiting relatives. Seth M. Jones left Sunday for Colorado where he will fill a mission mis-sion for the L. D. S. church. A party was given in the gym Wednesday Wed-nesday night in his honor. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Alger and family have moved to Enterprise Enter-prise from northern Utah, to make their home for the present and take care of Mr. Alger's parents. Honoring the Enterprise boys who left Wednesday for military service, a party was held last Monday. The program included a reading by Delia Truman; vocal solo, Ivan Holt; reading, Clayton Farnsworth; cornet sola LeRoy Staheli; talks by John Day and Irvin Jones; solo, Clawson Hunt; and talks by the boys, including Clinton Emmett, Stanley Adams and Clawson Hunt" followed by dancing. 1 Mrs. Alwyn Jones is in the Iron county hospital with measles and pneumonia. The small son of Delmar Jones is also in the Iron county hospital hos-pital with pneumonia. Word has been received by the grandmother, Mrs. Nellie Twitchell of the birth of a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Grant Twitchell in Hollywood, Hol-lywood, Calif. Mrs. Twitchell's mother, Mrs. John Day is visiting with them in Hollywood. This is the second grandchild born to Mrs. Twitchell this month. The M. I. A. classes all enjoyed parties last Tuesday night in accordance ac-cordance with the recreation program pro-gram set by the church for that organization. Postmaster Ivor Clove is showing show-ing some fine specimens of willows wil-lows brought from Pine Park. The willows were planted last fall by the Fish and Game commission, com-mission, but have been completely com-pletely stripped of their bark by beavers. |
