Show News of the Clubs TRIPLE K CLUB Mrs. Clyde McQuaid was hostess host-ess to the Triple K club on Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Kuman Williams. Pinochle was played with high score prize going to Mrs. Arvel Milne and consolation con-solation to Mrs. Mack Crandall. PINOCHLE CLUB -Mrs. Bert Milne entertained the Pinochle club at her borne on Monday evening. First prize was won by Miss Edna Sorenson, second sec-ond by Mrs. M. O. Hutchings and consolation by Mrs. Nathaniel Ashby. Refreshments were served serv-ed to Mrs. George Pace, Mrs. Stanley Stan-ley Dixon, Mrs. Irvin Milne, Miss Mona Woodbury, Mrs. Hutchings, Mrs. Ashby and Miss Gorenson. SATURDAY XITE BRIDGE CLUB Mrs. John Bentley entertained the Saturday Night Bridge club at her home last week. There were twelve members present and a prize was awarded at each table for the highest score. Mrs. Marge Vance, Mrs. Mary Marshall and Miss Florence Foremaster were the winners for the evening's play. FOSTER D. U. P. CAMP The Foster Daughters of Utah Pioneers camp held a meeting and social at 3 o'clock Tuesday, February Feb-ruary 18 in honor of Mrs. Manda Sorenson's 8 6th birthday. Following group singing tend prayer a history of Mrs. Sorenson's Soren-son's life was given by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. LaBerta Sorenson. The balance of the program was as follows: solo, "Where Are the Friends of My Youth," Mrs. Het-tie Het-tie Bentley; short talk, "Gathering "Gather-ing of History," Mrs. Edna C. Dennett; Den-nett; song, "Lament of the Irish Imigrant," Hettie Bentley, Emma Hemenway, Nemie Pearce and Lil-lie Lil-lie Atkin. Delicious refreshments were served to thirty-two members. K. Y. B. CLUB Mrs. Lamar Sorenson entertained entertain-ed the K. Y. B. club at her home last Wednesday afternoon. Rook was enjoyed, the first prize being won by Mrs. Leland Lamoreaux and consolation by Mrs. Owen Pendleton. Pen-dleton. Other members present were Mrs. Annetta Pearce. Mrs. Moroni Bleak, Mrs. William Baker. Mrs. Hale Pearce and Mrs. LeRoy Lyle. LOS AMIGOS CLUB A clever Valentine party was the theme of the Los Amigos party held Monday night in the Arrowhead dining room. High score prizes for Monte Carlo whist were won by Mrs. Donald Schmutz and Mrs. Vernon Worthen. Hostesses for the evening were, Mrs. Ben Sorenson, Mrs. Joseph McArthur, Mrs. M. C. Moody and Mrs. Ed Miles. ATHENA CLUB The Athena club was entertained entertain-ed by their husbands in the j Science building last Thursday evening. Rook was enjoyed, the high score prize for the women being awarded to Mrs. George Brooks and consolation to Mrs. Walter Cannon. High score prize for the men was awarded to Henry Pickett and consolation to Erastus B. Snow. BRIDGE CLUB Mrs. Robert McComb entertained the Bridge club at her home last Thursday evening. High score prize was awarded to Mrs. Howard How-ard Judd and second prize to Mrs. LeRoy Lyle. Delicious refreshments refresh-ments were served to Mrs. Grant Harris, Mrs. L. A. Porter, Mrs. Henry Crosby, Mrs. Earl Cannon, Mrs. Glenn Prisbrey, Mrs. Lee Es-plin, Es-plin, Mrs. Marion Snow, Mrs. Rud-ger Rud-ger Atkin, Mr. H. L, Lee, Mrs. Judd and Mrs. Lyle. |
