Show WOODWARD SCHOOL Junior High school Last Thursday evening the two eighth grade classes held a class party In the basement Of the tabernacle, j The evening was spent in playing! games and dancing, after which' refreshments were served. A good: time was reported by all. I All of the Junior High school' teachers were invited to attend ! the party. Mi.-s Aileen Worthen and Miss! Everene Cox furnished the music! for us. Miss Foremaster's fourth grade We are studying about pion- j eers. We are going to have a pioneer pion-eer lunch. We are going to have coi n bread, molasses candy, molasses molas-ses cake, Dutch cheese, milk, dried' fruit, potatoes and water cress. The chairman of the bread committee com-mittee is Evelyn Kunz, the chairman chair-man of the candy committee is Virginia Klink, the chairman of the cake committee in Betty Lou j Granger, the chairman of t h e j cheese committee is Dean Syphus. j We all hope to have a nice lunch, j Miss Seegmiller's fifth grade We are still on the unit of 'How our country became the United States." Last week we all wrote essays on the flag. There were a good many good ones. We were, proud of our class because one out of our class took first place out of the two fifth grades. The prize was given to Jessie Jane Gibbons by the American Legion Auxiliary. Miss Larson's third grade We' are proud of the work our poster committee has done. They have made pictures of different kinds of ships. Audrey, Lucy and France made an Egyptian slave ship, and a clipper ship. Grace, Aileen and Chcrrie made the Santa San-ta Maria and an ocean liner. Jack Seegmiller and Shirl made a Viking Vik-ing ship and a Chinese junk. Jay and Willard made a seaplane. Now they are going to make a story to fit each poster. |
