Thompson left Salt Lake City February 20, for the Northern States mission where he will commence his labors as a missionary. mis-sionary. Calvert Andrus has been a business bus-iness visitor in Salt Lake City the past ten days. Blaine Whitehead spent the week-end with his mother, Mrs. Gladys Iverson, who is seriously ill in the Iron County hospital at Cedar City. Mrs. Althea Nelson left Tuesday for Los Angeles where she will spend several days on a buying trip for the Snow's Dress Shop. She was accompanied by Mrs. Mae Crosby. Word has been received by Mrs. E. D. Seegmiller of the birth of a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Bell of Washington, D. C. Mrs. Bell is the former Miss Rose Seegmiller. Seeg-miller. Miss Elizabeth Dooley is. recovering recov-ering slowly from a very serious illness. Word has been received here by Mr. and Mrs. M. W- Andrus that their son, Richard would be able to leave a Los Angeles hospital for his home about March 1. He underwent an appendicitis operation opera-tion February 15 and for several days his condition was so critical that it was doubtful whether he would recover. Mrs. Bert Milne spent the fore part of the week in Cedar City visiting her sister, Miss EvaLyn Harris. Mrs..
