Show Dixie College Is Host To Snow, B. A. C, In Forensic Tourney The Dixie Junior college student stu-dent body was host to B.A.C. and Snow junior colleges in a tri-school tri-school forensic tournament o n February 21 and 22. This is the j first forensic tournament to be held by the three junior colleges, and it proved a marked success. The tournament consisted of four divisions: Debate, oratory, extempore speech, and interpretative interpreta-tive reading. The question for debate was: "Resolved that Congress shall have power to override, by a two-third two-third majority vote, decisions of the Supreme Court declaring laws passed by Congress iuncionstitu-tional." iuncionstitu-tional." Each school entered three teams. Each team debated four times, and the contestants selected select-ed the two teams which they judged judg-ed to be the best to debate for the finals. The participants selected their own subject and selection in oratory ora-tory and interpretative reading, and subjects for the extempore speech contest were taken from the January issue of the Reader's Digest. The forensic visitors of B.A.C. and Snow were entertained at the student body assembly, and at a luncheon at noon, by the Dixie student stu-dent body officers. In the evening! they were guests at the Dixie-Enterprise basketball game and student stu-dent body dance. Dean Boyack and Dell Chamberlain Chamber-lain of Dixie, and Pat Fenton and Mark Anderson of B.A.C. contested contest-ed in the finals to determine the ' outstanding debate team, B.A.C. being named the winning team, Dixie second.
