Show ENTERPRISE A handkerchief shower honoring honor-ing Mrs. Glen Simpkins was given in the Relief Society building Monday. The D. P. U., the Primary Pri-mary and the Relief Society combined com-bined to sponsor the affair as .Mrs. Simpkins has worked in all three organizations. Mr. and .Mrs. Simpkins and family will leave .soon for the state of Washington Wash-ington where they will make their home. Mrs. Leora Wadsworth of Pa-naca Pa-naca and Mrs. Reah Mowers of Nephi are here with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Farns-worth. Farns-worth. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Day took their son Weldon to the Iron county hospital Sunday. He is seriously ill with pneumonia. The regular conjoint M. I. A. meeting Sunday night was turned over to the Enterprise High school debating class. The question, ques-tion, "Resolved that the system of Socializied Medicine Should Be Adopted in the State," was debated. de-bated. The affirmative side was represented by the following stu-dents: stu-dents: Nola Truman, Dorothy Tobiason, Helena Thomas, and Hortense Hunt. The negative by Inez Cunningham, Laura Huntsman, Hunts-man, Elaine Holt and Fay Alger. It was debated thoroughly by both sides showing that the students stu-dents had done considerable reading read-ing and made good preparation. There was no decision rendered. Mrs. Joseph Holt, Mrs. Howard Holt, Mrs. Gordon Moyle and Mrs. Ctarenne Rt-aheli snftnt Kntnrrinv transacting business in St. George. Mrs. William Lund entertained the school faculty and their partners part-ners Thursday night at a bridge party. Luncheon was served to twenty guests. The high score prie was won by H. M. Holt and Cleo Pectol. Emil Barlocker has returned from Salt Lake City after having spent several months there visiting visit-ing and working in the Temple. Mrs. Leah Frei entertained the A. B. C. el"1? Wednesday. Mrs. Walter Miles won high score prize. |
