ESTABLISHES ALL-TIME ALL-TIME ENROLLMENT RECORD; LOCAL STUDENTS ATTEND LOGAN More than 2300 students stu-dents are now registered at the Utah State Agricultural college, according to W. H. Bell, registrar. regis-trar. This enrollment marks a new high for this institution at the close of the fourth-week of school. Last year the registration was 43 per cent higher than 1933 and this year's enrollment is 10.2 per cent above the 1934 record. Indications In-dications point to a heavy signup sign-up for the winter quarter and the college authorities are making mak-ing preparations for a large number num-ber of second period students who will enter December 9, as well as for those who are in attendance and will continue throughout the year. With the completion of the new Home Economics-Commons building many changes have been made on the campus of the state college during the past summer. New departments have been created cre-ated and others changed. Now the college possesses one, of th most up-to-date and efficiently equipped departments of home economics in the west, and excellent ex-cellent facilities for student af-airs, af-airs, according to authorities. Marked increase has been noted in practically every school and a spirit of sincerity and integrity prevails among the students, according ac-cording to President Elmer G. Peterson. Washington county is represented repre-sented at the Utah State college this year by the following students: stu-dents: Velda Beams, Orba Davis, Dav-is, Melvin M. Hall, Leo Reeve, Eldrow Reeve, Max Webb, and Sylvan H. Wittwer, Hurricane; Evan W. Earl, C. Walker McAllister, McAll-ister, Art H. Starr, and Lelvis F. Wilkinson, St. George; Thelnn Gubler, Santa Clara; Horatio Gub ler, La Verkin. |
