The very desirable convenience of having water in the house calls for proper drainage and disposal of waste. Plumbing must be installed, in-stalled, which should include a sink, wash basins and possibly toilet and bath. These improvements improve-ments are permissable under the Federal Housing Act, but it should be emphasized that the plumbing and equipment used should be of a high quality to guarantee sanitation in this improved im-proved convenience. Bacteria thrive on the food waste from the hou'se. Leaky plumbing is more dangerous than a burglar. A burglar would rob you of your property only. The leaky plumbing may rob you of life itself. It is not only the offensive of-fensive odors and unsanitary appearance ap-pearance which comes from a leak, but the absolute danger of developing de-veloping a medium from which harmful bacteria might be brought into tne household. |
