Show WEST WARD IXU.P. HOLD FIRST CHAPTER MEET OX WEDNESDAY, OCT. 23 The West Ward chapter of the Daughters of the Pioneers held their first meeting at the home of Mrs. Claude Cannon Wednesday, Wednes-day, October 2 3 with twenty-three members present. Elizabeth Hunt Chadburn, who will be S6 on her next birthday, November 14, was the oldest member present. The meeting was called to order or-der by Captain Partha Cannon. Prayer by Elethra Parsons. A few remarks were made by Captain Cap-tain Cannon and then votes were east for a name for their camp. The name Foster Camp was chosen. chos-en. County Secretary Edna Dennett gave the ' talk of the day. She chose as her subject the two objectives ob-jectives of the year. These are: securing a complete pioneer history his-tory and gathering of pioneer relics. The chapter members decided to hold one meeting each month. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Chadburn in honor of her 8 6th birthday on November 14. |
