Show CALIFORNIA MISSIONARIES EXTERTAIXED AVEDXESDAY" Mrs. William Heaton entertained entertain-ed at dinner Wednesday evening a group of missionaries of the California Cal-ifornia mission who are enroute to Salt Lake City for conference. The party was composed of her son, Ross of Alton who has been president of the Los Angeles district, dis-trict, and has now been released; Elder Parley Lloyd of Grace, Idaho, Ida-ho, who has been president of the Fresno district and is now released; releas-ed; Elder John L. Jenkins of Logan, Lo-gan, superintendent of mission Sunday schools who will return to California to continue his work; Miss Ruby Braithwaite of Manti, supervisor of. mission primaries who has been released; Margaret Gordan, of Los Angeles, supervisor supervis-or of Genealogical work; and Miss Fern Simmons of Los Angeles who is just leaving for the mission field and will spend two weeks at the mission home in Salt Lake City. The party enjoyed a visit to Boulder Dam and report having had a very enjoyable trip. Work in the California mission is progressing pro-gressing rapidly but there is need there, as in every mission field in the world for more missionaries. |
