Show LAST RITES HELD FOR II. TURNBEAUGH TUESDAY, OCTOBER 2 WASHINGTON, Oct, 2-Fun-eral services were held Tuesday, October 2, in the ward chapel for Hyruru Turnbeaugh, 52 years old, who died Sunday morning at 3 o'clock after a lingering illness of two years. Mr. Turnbeaugh spent most of his life here in Washington. Washing-ton. He was born in Mesa, Arizona in 1883, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William T. Turnbeaugh and married mar-ried Margie Crawford of this place August 1, 1905. They were the parents of twelve children, ten of whom are living. They are: Edna, Clarence, William, Mrs. Hazel Jol-ley, Jol-ley, Booth, Mrs. Chris Connell, Ra-mona, Ra-mona, Clyde, Lillie and Thorley. There are six grandchildren. Funeral services were in charge of Bishop Wallace Iverson. The music was furnished by a mixed quartet consisting o-f Mr. and Mrs. Mazel Sproul, Miss Una Pickett and Antone Neilson with Mrs. Mae Pace assisting at the organ. The numbers rendered were, "0, My Father," "Sometime We'll Understand," Un-derstand," and "Let the Lower Lights be Burning." The opening prayer was given by Richard Prince. Speakers were Haven Paxman, First counselor John Tanner, and Bishop Iverson, who all spoke highly of Mr. Turnbeaugh, Turn-beaugh, telling of their long acquaintance ac-quaintance with him and of his struggle to provide for his large family. The speakers stated that he was an industrious man and was always found trustworthy and dependable, always honest in his dealings with others. He was a kind hearted person who would divide anything he had with anyone any-one in need. They also told o'. his patience during his long illness ill-ness and of his strong determination determina-tion to regain his health. Benediction Bene-diction was given by Armond Wil-kins. Wil-kins. Many friends and relatives from 6t. George and Cedar City were present. Two Of his brothers, Joseph Jo-seph and George were also present. pre-sent. The many beautiful flowers which decorated the casket showed show-ed the esteem in which Mr. Turnbeaugh Turn-beaugh was held by his large circle cir-cle of friends. Interment was in the Washington Washing-ton cemetery where the grave was dedicated by Haven Paxman. |
