Show DIXIE COLLEGE Tuesday, October 8, Dixie college col-lege in its second lyceum number, num-ber, presents Mr. Craig Harklin in his "Grand Concert of Paintings." Paint-ings." This is an educational feature fea-ture in which the great masters and their art are to be presented in a very unique way. Mr. Harklin Hark-lin is a skilled artist in his line, and guarantees that his -entertainment cannot fail to draw interest and appreciation from his audience. A small admission fee will te charged for the public. The number num-ber will be presented at 2 p.m. in the college auditorium. The Dixie Dix-ie Jubilee quartet was feautred Wednesday evening in the first ly-cum ly-cum number of the season. The new football suits were worn for the first time in practice Monday afternoon. The first games of the Iseason will take place on the eleventh and twelth of this month, with the B. A. C.Dixie C.-Dixie game being a big event oi Founder's Day, October 18. More than one hundred fifteen students attended the dedicatim of the Boulder Dam by President" Roosevelt, . Monday. This expedition expedi-tion was sponsored by the school, and about twenty-five of the F. F. A. boys were among the number attending. : Lambda' Beta Theta held its first meeting of the season last Thursday evening in the dining room of the Science building. Several Sev-eral new members, Loa Reid. Gertrude Ger-trude Frhner, Ula Le and Iva Don Shumway were initiated. The initiation in-itiation ceremonies were followed by a dinner which was given by the active members of thei sorority. Friday's assembly will be given with students from Washington county, with the exception of St. George, participating. |
