OtTOliER 7th EOR I.M PORTA N'T A X X I'AL MEET PROYO All Scoutmasters, Troop Committeemen, District Commissioners and members of the District Committees in the Timpanogos Council will gather at Provo, October 7, for an important impor-tant annual meeting at Brigham Young university, announces Henry Hen-ry A. Gardner. Spanish Fork. President of the council. "The convention will be an evening ev-ening of concentrated practical training in Scouting, "said President Presi-dent Gardner. "It is important that every Scout leader attend." The opening program will be short to ailow an hour or more for departmental de-partmental sessions, each depart- ment having planned pertinent discussions and demonstrations i for their separate meetings, j A demonstration of a uniform-j uniform-j ed Boy Scout troop in action will i be the highlight of the meeting of Scoutmasters, troop committeemen committee-men and District Commissioners. This troop, a regular active troop, will demonstrate the correct use of the patrol method in conducting conduct-ing a Scout troop. The Scout leaders will see problems of troop leadership and relations with troop committee and community worked out before them on the college hall stage. Tents, sleeping bags and other camping equipment Will be brought into the camping department, depart-ment, under Dr. L. D. Ffouts of Payson. These will be demon-started demon-started and those present will be instructed in how to construct them. Similar innovations will be introduced in the other departments. depart-ments.
