Futrelle, vice president of the Uzona Oil Co., returned from Las Vegas, Nev., Wednesday previous to which he spent several days at Salt Lake and Ogden on company business. busi-ness. He reports the feeling up north toward the new field as very optimistic, everybody nearly expressing expres-sing the opinion that they believed a big oil field will be. developed here. Drilling continues on the well spudded in, Dec. 27 in section 17, and fairly good progress is being made. Mr. Futrelle informs The News that a party will go out to section 19 tomorrow to-morrow and. under direction of Engineer En-gineer Leo A. Snow clear off the ground at the point spotted for a well on the Bloomington dome and prepare pre-pare to erect a large derrick there, at the point declared by U. S. geologists as the most favorable spot for oil. |
