Show DUCK SEASON OPENS FRIDAY, OCTOHER 12 Oliver Station D,.putv Ward,.,, I lie open season on ducks Hi's year t Washington County shall commence on October 12th and continue each Friday, Satur-!" Satur-!" and Sunday until December Itith. The shooting time nhall be from sunrise to sunset of each of those days during that period of time. Those who Intend In-tend shooting ducks this season must obtain a federal duck stamp which may be bought at the Post Office for the sum of $1.00. This is a federal law so all hunters hunt-ers of water fowls, please, procure pro-cure a stump before going out shooting. Starting November 1st and continuing until November 10th of this year thero will be a special permit doe hunt in the Pine Valley district for the removal re-moval of 200 doe deer. Those who desire to hunt during this hunt should make application to the State Fish and Game department de-partment Capital Building. Salt Lake City, as soon as possible. A fee of $2.00 which is being charged for the permit should accompany the application. The applications received will be numbered num-bered and drawn from a box and those who have corresponding numbers will be Issued permits and those who do not will have their money refunded. Some good sports are opposed to killing our breeding stock and are reluctant about applying for a permit but we of the Game Department and Forest officers feel that we have a surplus of does in a few areas and that it would be proper utilization to have them removed and consumed consum-ed rather than to have them go on their winter range and die of starvation. The opening dates for our Pheasant and quail seasons will be published later. |
