Show ' 1 HURRICANE F. F. A. ELECT OFFICERS MVRUICANE. October 1 The Hurricane. Future Farmers of America hold their annual imvting to elect officers for the coming year on last Tuesday, October 2. The officers were v'.ntod ixs follows: Sylvan Wittwer, president; Hal Hradshaw. vlct-presidont; Mar-low Mar-low Wood. secretary; Eldrow Reeve, reporter; Ivan Johnson, farm watch dog; and Klmer draff, advisor. The Hurricane F. F. A. is quite proud of having Eldrow Reeve their last year's president, elected to the presidency of the State F. F. A. at the recent convention con-vention of this organization held in Logan. Mr. Reeve will accompany ac-company the State F. F. A. band to Kansas City to the livestock show on October IS. Hal Brad-shaw. Brad-shaw. Hurricane's new Vice-president will also make the trip to Kansas City as a member of the band. To raise funds for the expenses of this trip the Hurricane F. F. A. are planning on sponsoring a tight program on Friday evening October 12. All proceeds from this fight card will go toward the expences of this trip, and backers of the F. F. A. urge that all attend and make this a success. This year. Hurricane has an enrollment of forty-six boys in agriculture and every effort is being put forthvto make it a year of achievement. It 'is expected that this chapter will furnish programs for assemblies during the school year; visit with one of their Dixie neighbors one day. and meet them in athletic events. According to Elmer Graff they are also anticipating a 100 per cent participation in the F. F. A. public speaking contest. Plans are underway to sponsor spon-sor the Agricultural dance on project completion day and to have an annual Fathers' and Sons' banquet and a number of other worth while projects. |
