C, January 28, 1935 The United States Civil Service Commission says that numerous letters received at its office from different parts of the country indicate that misleading mis-leading information is being g'ven to the public by agents of some 1 of the correspondence schools i which give instruction in prepar- ation for civil service examina-i examina-i tlons. I To guard against the loss of money paid for tuition of this ! kind the Civil Service commls- slon Iriforms the public as fol- lows : No one can promise appolnt- ments to positions for which the I United States Civil Service com- mission holds examinations. The claim that such assurance can be J given brands the person making It as a fraud. Information regarding examin-J examin-J ations for the United States Civi Service may be obtained from ! the boards of United States Civil J Service examiners. There is such a board in each community J which has a post office of the first Or the second class. In , nearly all cities the civil service J board Is located at the post of-r of-r flee.
