Show ST. GEORGE CAMP by Del Mar Nelson A splendid program was given at camp by the West Ward M. I. A., Thursday evening, February Febru-ary 7th. Numbers were arranged as follows: Greetings by President Presi-dent Violet Esplin; Ladies chorus directed by Ruth Winsor; clarinet clar-inet solo by Howard Schmutz; Song, Rave Lund, accompanied by Lelia Lund; xyllophone solo, Miss Aileen Worthen, Evereen Cox; Dance, Fawn Schmutz; piano, Miss Todd; Solo, Bishop Worthen; Reading, Miss Lenore Thurston; Harmonica selection, Miss Erma Sullivan; Duet, Miss Vera Sliarespeare and Violet Worthen. Wor-then. A St. George CCC camp dance will be held in the Dixie College gymnasium, Saturday night, February Feb-ruary 16. Good music will be furnished. Visitors day was held in camp Saturday afternoon, February 2nd. The camp was opened for public inspection and visitors were shown through the buildings build-ings and grounds by special guides. The camp orchestra furnished fur-nished a program as special entertainment. en-tertainment. An enthusiastic interest in-terest in the camp was shown by those attending the afternoon visit. PE-213 plays its final game in basketball. St. George camp team and East Ward will tussel Thursday Thurs-day evening, February 14th in the final season game. Chaplin Theodore L. Curtis and Wayne L. Bennion were visitors at camp Tuesday, February 12th. They commented on notice of an appreciable improvement in our camp landscaping over last year, namely the layiifg out of a cactus garden and c a s t u s greanery throughout the camp grounds. |
