Show I5y Dit-dra Norlli-rn A field trip to Dowd Mountain is being planned bv the historical society for juiy iy 'Ihey urge mose interestea in preserving the stories of the area, to become members of the society and attend the meetings, which are held monthly, the second Tuesday of the month and also the field trips. A good old-fashioned 4th of July dance was held Friday night. The hall decorated with red, white and blue streamers and small flags in the windows made the feeling of the real 4th of July. The dancers enjoyed decorative cookies in the patriotic theme. Donating the cookies were: Krma Carter, Wanda Staley, Marion A. Behunin and Florence Wooley. Get-well cards were signed for Dick Adams, he was taken to Salt Lake hospital Friday; Harold Cook, who also is in the St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City is recovering from a bypass on his heart. Bernice Ainge. had the misfortune of breaking some ribs Ronnie Howe had an eye injury. Hope all these good people get well soon and return as we miss them all. Our apologies go to these couples as we overlooked their anniversaries: an-niversaries: Cliff and Maxine Hershey, 14 years and Milt and Florence Wooley, 1 year; we wish them many more happy years togethers. We want to remind all the dancers they are invited to attend the dance on July 31, in Salt Lake City at the Friendship Club, President Lloyd and Lucillo Eggert have invited the dancers to have breakfast break-fast at their home August 1. Contact Mrs. Behunin for further information on the trip. Our sympathy is extended to Mrs. Behunin in the loss of her brother-in-law, Richard Layton of Lakeside, Mont. We'll be looking forward for-ward to seeing you all next Friday... Bingo winner for the first week in July was a six-way tie for first place which included. Rosalie Burton. Phyllis Warby, Hilda Faulkner, Meg Goodrun, Lena Mast and Elvira Slaugh all having three games each. Monday's dinner Jnlv 7 had 144 enjoying en-joying the roast beef dinner. Jim Tanner, from the Senior Citizen's Law Project spoke to the group and did some individualized counseling after the dinner. Melba Woodhouse played the organ, also Celia Baker played a solo on the flute, Melba accompanied her on the organ. We would like to thank all of these people for taking time out of their busy schedules to come and join us. On the menu for next Monday, July 14 is: meat loaf; potatoes and gravy; corn; coleslaw; tossed green and apricot salads; hot rolls and coconut cream pie. See you all there. The blood pressure clinic for the month of July will be Monday July 21, following the dinner at 2 p.m. here in the Golden Age Center.
