Show v t " TERRANCE THEDELL nets nomination. Vernal youth named in Nat'l. Who's Who book Terrance L. Thedell, Vernal, was informed recently that he had been nominated for honorary award recognition for Who's Who Among . American High School Students for 1978-79. His picture and biography will be published in this issue of Who's Who. Terrance will be a senior at Uintah High School this fall. Recognition in Who's Who is a national honor reserved exclusively for junior and senior high school students who have demonstrated leadership or achievement in either academics, athletics, extra-curricular activities or community service. Terrance was awarded because of his academic achievements. He maintains a 3.7 grade point average. Recommendations are received from thousands of high schools and youth program sponsors at the national and local levels, but on the national basis, less than 5 percent of the junior and senior class students are featured in Who's Who each year. They are a very select grqup. Through this nomination Terrance is elegible for a $50,000 scholarship. Terrance will serve as Seminary President for the coming school year. He is an American Legion Boys' Stater and a member of the National Honor Society. He is also on the honor roll. He was active on the debate team, in the school muscial, drama club, dance club, key club, and newspaper staff, reporter. Key Club President; and he is a member of the National Forensic League. Mr. Thedell is active in his church, aiso. He holds the office of a priest in the Vernal 4th Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he will be a four-year seminary student this fall. His future plans consist of an LDS mission and many years of college to become an architectural engineer. Terrance is the son of Corrienne L. Thedell and the late Aron A. Thedell. |
