Show Former Moab Resident Dies In Michigan Friends were saddened to learn of the death on January Jan-uary 9, of Myrtle McBroom Prieur, 91 a resident of Moab Mo-ab for many years. Mrs. Prieur was born on November 29, 1879 in South Bend, Indiana but moved to Moab about 25 years ago. After her arrival she woru-ed woru-ed for the Midland Tele-hone Tele-hone Company. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and attended the St. Francis Fran-cis Episcopal Church. In November of last year she suffered a fall and had to be hospitalized. In January, her only living son arrived to have her taken to a hospital hos-pital near him in St. Johns, Michigan. She left Moab on January 3, and arrived in St. Johns in good condition, according to friends. She' later contracted pneumonia and passed away. '. Services were under the direction of the Hoag Funeral Funer-al home in St. Johns on January Jan-uary 13 -with Rev. Hugh Ban-ninga Ban-ninga officiating. Burial was in the Bowman Cemetery Ceme-tery in South Bend, Indiana. Mrs. Prieur is survived by one son, two grandchildren and four great-grand children. child-ren. Another son and a daughter dau-ghter preceeded her in death as did her husband. |
