Show A!ME to Hold Annual Meet in Denver Feb. 15 The American Iastilute of Mining, Metallurgical and I'elrolr-um Engineers (AIM-K) (AIM-K) will hold its 99th Annual Meeting at the Denver Hilton, Hil-ton, Denver, Colorado, beginning be-ginning Sunday, February 15 1970 through Thursday, February Feb-ruary 19, 1970. According to the Annual Meeting General Chairman, Edward H. Crab- tree, over 4,500 engineers, scientists, educators and executives ex-ecutives working in mining, metallurgy and petroleum are expected to attend from all over the world. Mr. Crab-tree Crab-tree is Director of the Colorado Colo-rado School of Mines Research Re-search Institute at Golden. More than 300 technical papers will be delivered during dur-ing the five - day meeting. Four major symposiums will be featured - Oil Shale, Hydrocarbons, Hy-drocarbons, Copper Metallurgy, Metal-lurgy, and Light Metals. Attention At-tention will also be focused on offshore mineral and energy en-ergy resources in relation to national goals, and environmental environ-mental quality and resources resourc-es development. Key meeting meet-ing sessions will cover the regional impact of the mineral min-eral industry, issues of mineral min-eral policies in the United States, applications of economics econ-omics to the minerals industries in-dustries and problems of mineral resources availability. availabil-ity.
