Slmrp Alternate members of the Four Cornere Regional Commission, Com-mission, meeting Tuesday in Santa Fe, New Mexico, approved a $100,000 grant for vstuhlishing aiv area vocational education cimter in MiKib. IV Howe Moffat, alternate, represented Ftah Governor Calvin L. Hamilton. It is anticipated that the four governors will approve, by telephone, the action taken ta-ken by the alternate members. mem-bers. Tho $100,000 grant is made to the State Hoard for Vocational Vo-cational Fducation which will supervise operation of the new vocational education educa-tion training center. Another $59,000 Federal grant in aid will be available avail-able from another source, and the Grand County Roard of Education will supply $120.lXKl or 36.5 per cent of the total cost of $304,000. Headquarters for the new facility will be built adjacent adja-cent to the present Grand County High School in M ab. It is anticipated that in-4 in-4 ial construction will get underway this spring on the new facilities. |
