Show Two Injured in IVrecc On 1-70 Near Thompson Two people sustained minor injuries in a 3-car accident on 1-70 at 3 p.m. March 27. The accident happened 10 miles west of Cisco. Four cars were traveling in a caravan from Denver to Salt Lake City. They had pulled off to the side of the paved portion of the road and stopped. In the lead were two 1977 Toyotas. Toy-otas. Bruce Burr Dube, 31, Salt Lake City, was traveling west in a 1977 Chevrolet Camaro owned by Beth Buck, Murray. He went to sleep and hit the second Toyota, pushing it into the lead Toyota which rolled right twice off the roadway. Driver of the Toyotas were Alan Crandall, 23, Springville, and Kenneth Lowder, 22, also, of Springville. Both Lowder and Dube were injured and taken to Allen Memorial Hospital Hos-pital by ambulance. Damage to the Toyotas was estimated at $2,000 and $4,000 respectively, and damage to the Chevrolet was estimated at $5,500. The 4 caravan vehicles were impounded because be-cause of license plate violations, viola-tions, two being held in Crescent Cres-cent Junction and two at Thompson Body and Glass. The drivers were all cited for improper registration. Crandall Cran-dall was cited for expired drivers license and Dube was cited for failure to maintain control. i Investigating were High- ; way Patrol Troopers Larry Jacobs, Lynn Pierson and John Kimball. |
