Show Forest planning studies available for comment Two publications describing the progress of long-term planning efforts for the nation's na-tion's renewable natural resources re-sources are now available at Forest Service offices in the Intermountain Region. The public is invited to study and comment on information in the publications. 'The Resources Planning Act and You-A Summary of Progress" is a brochure that explains the Forest and Rangeland Renewable Resources Re-sources Planning Act of 1974. It summarizes what has been accomplished through implementation imple-mentation of the Act and shows how the reader can become involved in preparation prepar-ation of the 1980 Assessment and Program. A detailed booklet, 'The Resources Planning Act: A Progress Report," describes the present status of developing develop-ing an updated master plan for the Forest Service. In addition, it explains how public pub-lic responses to earlier documents docu-ments are being incorporated into the 1980 update that is required by the Resources Planning Act. |
