Show Bond sales reported for County For the fourth consecutive year, Utah Bond buyers exceeded their Savings Bonds sales quota as December sales figures for the state came to $2,439,711, bringing the grand total to $32,522,996 or 100.2 percent of the 1977 goal of $32,500,000. In Grand County, December Bond sales came to $4,116, bringing the year's total sales to $68,419, it was announced recently by Volunteer County Bonds Chairman Robert A. Dalton. Eighteen counties exceeded their goalsBeaver, Cache, Daggett, Emery, Garfield, Grand, Iron, Juab, Kane, San Juan, Sanpete, Sevier, Summit, Sum-mit, Tooele, Uintah, Utah, Wayne, and Weber, according to Volunteer State Savings Bonds Chairman Wendell E. Gile of Salt Lake City. Utah's 1977 "Take Stock in America" Payroll Savings Campaign Chairman John G. McMillian, Chief Executive Officer, Northwest Energy, said that vigorous and enthusiastic enthus-iastic campaigns to promote Savings Bonds throughout the year resulted in the addition of hundreds of new Bond buyers or the increase in allotments for regular Bond buyers. He praised Utah employers and employees for their cooperation cooper-ation and participation in the quota-breaking 1977 Bond drive. Nationally, Bond sales continued con-tinued a record-breaking pace as sales reached almost $8 billionthe highest yearly total ever recorded in peacetime. Sales for the year were $7,954 million, or $400 million over j 1976. |
