Show Ron Turner Accorded National Honor ' - y Y ' -.A T 3 i S - Z , ,.3 . . ,L Ron Turner The Board of Advisors for the Outstanding Young Men of America Awards Program announced this week that Ronald Turner, owner of Turner Insurance in Moab, has been selected for inclusion in the 1977 edition of Outstanding Outstand-ing Young Men of America. The Outstanding Young Men of America Program is co-sponsored by the United States Jaycecs and numerous other leading men's civic and service organizations throughout through-out the nation. The program recognizes the achievements and abilities of men between the ages of 21 and 36. The criteria for selection include a man's voluntary service to community, professional profes-sional leadership, academic achievement, business ad vancement, cultural accomplishments accomp-lishments and civic and political participation. The men chosen have distinguished distinguish-ed themselves in one or more of these fields of endeavor and deserve to be recognized for their efforts. Ron Turner, a Moab resident resi-dent since 1955, is well-qualified for the honor he received. Ron is an active Moab Jaycee and performs many serv ices to the community and state through this organization. He was president of the group in 1973-74. currently is District Director for the state of Utah Javcees. and is running for the position of state Management Vice-President. Since 1973. Ron has been the Grand Co. Chairman for the March of Dimes and Moab Jaycees March of Dimes Telethon Chairman. He has received Jaycee awards related to all these posts within the last vear. including an Outstanding Outstand-ing Moab Jaycee Award. Besides all the effort Ron puis into Jaycee activities, he is self-employed, and a member mem-ber of the First Baptist Church, the Chamber of Commerce, the Western Land Users Association, and on the board of trustees for Allen Memorial Hospital. He has also been working with business busi-ness classes at Grand High School on vocational opportunities opportun-ities in the insurance field. Ron is one of only 35 surplus lines insurance brokers in Utah, which is finding companies com-panies to insure unique and difficult-to-insurc items and problems. Ron and his wife, Lorraine, have been married 16'i years and have two daughters, Kim and Kerri. |
