Show Wild & Scenic Status For Colorado-Dolores Subject of Hearings The Federal-State team studying the Colorado and Dolores Rivers for possible inclusion in the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System has scheduled for public participation participa-tion meetings in early May. The meetings, to be conducted as workshops, are designed to facilitate discussion of alternative alterna-tive proposals for the rivers. The segments of the rivers under study are the Colorado River from a point about 19 miles east of the Colorado-Utah Colorado-Utah state line downstream to the confluence with the Dolores Dolor-es River in Utah and the Dolores River from Gateway. Organizations and individuals individ-uals having an interest in the Colorado and Dolores Rivers are encouraged to participate in the workshops. The meetings meet-ings will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the following locations: May 2 -- 14th Floor, University Club Building, 136 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah (The public may park on the seventh parking level in the building.) May 3 - Conference Room, Bureau of Land Management District Office, 125 West 2nd South. Moab, Utah. May 4 - Holiday Inn, Grand Junction, Colorado. May 9 -- State Center Building, Room 110, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver. Colo. The study and subsequent report and environmental statement, is a cooperative effort between the states of Colorado and Utah, the Bureau Bur-eau of Outdoor Recreation, and the Bureau of Land Management. |
