Show File Those Notices Early . . . Prospectors and miners who are planning on conducting operations on the National Forest this year should file their Notices of Intent and Plans of Operation early in order to prevent undue delay in getting approval. Any person proposing to conduct mining operations that might cause disturbance to surface resources on National Forest lands is required to submit a Notice of Intent to Operate. If it is determined that the operation is likely to cause significant disturbance to surface resources, a more detailed operating plan will be required. Guidelines for preparing a Notice of Intent of Plan of Operations may be picked up at the Moab Forest Service Office. |
