Show Innkeepers Elect New Officers In St, George The Utah Innkeepers Association Asso-ciation comprised of the many hotels and motels in the State of Utah held their annual convention in St. George recently and elected new officers: Mr. Glen A. Overton, President, Rodeway Inn -Provo, Utah. Mr. Maon Pulley, 1st Vice President, Bear Lake Motor Lodge -Garden City, Utah. Mr. Bradley M. Thompson, 2nd Vice President, Friendship Inn Skyline Motel - Salt Lake City. Utah. Others elected to the Board of Directors were: Mr. J. B. Thomas - Howard Johnson - Salt Lake, Mr. Sidney J. AtMn - Rodeway Inn - Cedar City, Mr. Jack Werts -Western Jayhawk - St. George, Mr. Calvin Black -Gateway Motel - Blanding, Mr. Stanley DeFriez - Wasatch Motel - Heber. Receiving honors for out- standing contributions toward the growth and development of Utah's tourism industry was Representative S. Garth Jones, who was cited with the Utah Tourism Award for his ' role in sponsoring tourist oriented legislation. Mr. Maon Pulley, received the Golden Key Award as the outstanding motel operator for the year. Special commendations went to Mr. Michael D. Gallivan, Director - Utah Travel Council, Mr. Milton R. Jolley, Assistant Director -Utah Travel Council, and Mr. Kenneth M. Krause, Information Informa-tion Director - Utah Travel Council, for their outstanding efforts in behalf of Utah's tourism industry. UIA Director of the Year honors went to Mr. Chester Davis, Columtain Best Western Motel, Provo. |
