Show Itflemly 3W Now Iwolvetl to HSU Courses m Nlo&b With a small number of late rt'Kislranis yet to be tallied, the SUCCE ll77 spring quarter enrollment appears as follows. The total number of individual student registrations this quarter is 282. Of (his total, 244 arc credit registrations. The remaining 38 arc non-credit (audit) registrations. The total number of credit hours of college work represented by the 244 credit registrations cited above is 728. Of these 546 are being generated by undergraduate students. A total of 182 credit hours are due to graduate student registrations. Utah State University college classes, administered through SUCCE, are underway during the 1977 spring quarter in Moab, Monticcllo and Mexican Hat with students commuting to these classes from various other communities. It is interesting to note that, included in the (near) final tally for the current quarter's enrollment, only 20 students now attending through SUCCE are receiving "Gl" Educational Benefits Payments. At this time one year ago, SUCCE was working with somewhat fewer than 100 such students. Obviously, the "new look" being called lor by the U.S. Veterans Administration in terms of required attendance, demand for satisfactory satis-factory grades as well as the expiration of benefits for all Korean lira Veterans has resulted in changes not only locally but on a nationwide basis. Utah Slate University classes being taught in Southeast Utah Communities this quarter range from post high school Agricultural Education 083 to graduate work in Elementary Education 655 (I'racticum in Evaluation of Instruction). The average class size for the 24 credit and 1 no-credit spring quarter classes stands at 1 1 .5 students per class. |
