Show Accidents Caused Injuries, Highway Patrol Reports Two accidents were investigated investi-gated during the week by the Utah Highway Patrol in this area of which resulted in injuries to 3 persons. On June 22 at 2 p.m. 2 miles west of Crescent Junction on U.S. 6-50, Barbara J. Mc-Phaul, Mc-Phaul, Avondale, Co., was driving a 1970 Chevrolet with 4 passengers. She went to sleep, the vehicle ran partially off the road, she woke and overcor-rected, overcor-rected, and the vehicle ran off the right side of the road, overturning. Devon McPhaul, 14, was not injured, nor was the driver. Injured and brought to Allen Memorial Hospital by the Green River ambulance were L.W. McPhaul, 47, John McPhaul, 5, and Jonelle McPhaul, 16. Trooper Phil Barney reported $1200 dam age to the car. Trooper Jim Sauls investigated investi-gated an accident June 20 at 3 1 a.m. 1.5 miles west of Harley Dome on U.S. 6-50. The I driver, Beatrice Gomez Hoo- I ken, San Antonio, Tex., driving a 1974 Ford pickup, had exited the interstate I without realizing it. She came to the end of the pavement, ran off the south side of the road, overcorrected, running I off the north side of the road ' and the vehicle overturned, resulting in $450 damage. The driver was not injured. |
