Show It appears, following nicet-iiiKS nicet-iiiKS in Price Tuesday, that Moab Valley is in line for some $225,000 from the Four Corners Cor-ners Regional Commission for flood control projects. According to City Councilman Council-man Harold Jacobs, the grant amount two to three months ago was only about $50 thousand slated for use in Moab, and that following discussions and the objection that this would be of little use, the figure was upped first to $200,000 and then to $225,000. Preparation of the grant application information has been done throught the Southeastern Utah Association of Governments, and three members of the City Council met in Price Tuesday, June 24 with members and staff of the association plus representatives representa-tives of the Four Corners Regional Commission. They were assured that the grant had been given the OK in Denver, and funding would come when the grant booklet is completed and submitted. Information yet to be obtained obtain-ed involves engineering work and cost estimates on flood control projects in Bliss Canyon, in the asrea behind the Husky Station on north highway 163, and in other critical areas.
