Show Quality of Government Services is Questioned How do Ltahns feel about the quality of services ser-vices provided by their local governments'? To find out, a unique survey will be conducted throughout the Beehive State this month by the University of Utah Bureau Bu-reau of Community Development, De-velopment, according to director Richard P. Lindsay. A select team of pollsters poll-sters under the direction of Dr. John Gisler of the U Bureau will interview 500 citizens to ascertain their reactions to present pres-ent municipal services provided by police, fire, health departments and the like, as well as by-overall by-overall governing bodies. bod-ies. Each interviewee will be asked to rate the services as "very good," "tolerable" or "very poor" and to cite his rationale. In addition, the survey teams will attempt to measure the citizenry's needs and desires for local government services, ser-vices, and whether they should be increased, decreased, de-creased, modified or stopped altogether. For example, pollsters want to know w hether the public pub-lic feels that the typical fire department should continue with its present efforts in fire fighting and providing ambulance service or should increase in-crease or decrease its scope of operations.
