Show , Grand 3ond Totals are Listed Savings Bonds sales figures for April for Grand County came to S3, 668 bringing year-to-date totals to $10,217, it was disclosed today by volunteer County Chairman Chair-man Robert A. Dal ton. Manager, First Security Bank of Utah at Moab. State Chairman Wendell Wen-dell E. Gile and "TSI.V Campaign Chairman Harry Blundell announced an-nounced that state Bond sales total for April were $2,636,516 bringing the grand total to $9,872,-777 $9,872,-777 or 33.9 per cent of the 1973 quota. This figure, fig-ure, Mr. Gile said, is about $149,000 short of last year's total for the same period. Nationally however, sales of Series E Savings Sav-ings Bonds came to $535 million in April a 28-year 28-year peak for the month and 12 per cent above April 1972. With 11 Bond sales included, total April sales for the Bonds came to $562 million, the highest total for the month since the H Bond was introduced in June 1952 and 11.8 per cent above last year. County Bond buyers and residents were reminded re-minded by the chairman that with graduation and the traditional wedding month approaching, U.S. Savings Bonds would be most timely and appropriate appro-priate for gift-giving.
