Show Officers Seeking Identify Of Emery Train Victim An investigation is underway under-way in Carbon and Emery Counties as to the identification identifica-tion of a man apparently struck by a Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad train near Woodside early Tuesday morning. Carbon County Sheriff Albert Al-bert Passic said his office received word at 8:48 a.m. from the D&RGW dispatcher dispatch-er in Helper that one of its trainmen had found a body alongside the railroad's main line one mile west of Wood-side. Wood-side. ' He and Emery County Sheriff Jack Leamaster investigated in-vestigated and found the body of a man about 40, which had apparently been mutilated mutil-ated by a train. Officials said a westbound train had passed through the area earlier and theorized the man may have fallen or jumped from it and stumbU ed beneath its wheels. Identification has not been determined and fingerprints have been sent to the FBI in Washington. Circumstances surrounding the death are still under investigation. |
