Show Green River Pirate News By Tammy Ekker Miss Kelly Crawford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Crawford, has been named as Valedictorian Val-edictorian of the Graduating Grad-uating Class of 1973 and will speak at Commencement Com-mencement exercises on Thursday, May 24th, in the High School gym. Mr. Kevin Price, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Price, will deliver the Salutatory address. The Seniors have named Price attorney Boyd Bunnell as guest speaker. speak-er. On the Green ticket is Neal Ekker, president; Shelley Shel-ley Thompson, vice president; Kresha Dunham, Dun-ham, secretary; Tammy Ekker, comm. of public safety; Carrie Vetere, comm. of public affairs; and Gala Dumas, his- torian. Running on the white ticket is J.I). Banasky, Ban-asky, president; Scott B a n a s k y , vice president; pres-ident; Kathy Watterson, secretary; Bart Hansen, comm. of public safety; Tracy Spadafora; comm. of public affairs; and Doris Conklin, historian. his-torian. Cheerleader try outs will be on Monday, the Nth, campaign speeches and voting on May 16th, and results of the elections will be announced at the Class Night and Awards pro--gram that night. The Junior High track team traveled to Moab on Wednesday this week and brought back these ribbons: First--Tracy Spadafora, Discus; Tim Vetere, Shot Put; and Brad Burr, 44 run. Third place ribbons went to Royd Hatt, long jump; 8th grade 880 re- lay; Terry Johnson, 880 run; Brad Burr, high jump; 7th grade, 440 relay. Scoring 4th place finishes fin-ishes were: Bart Hansen, Han-sen, high jump; Kam Weihing, 440 run; Richard Rich-ard Barker, shot put; Terry Johnson, high jump. In fifth place was Mitch Vetere, discus. Mrs. Sherry Howell has taken over Secretary Secre-tary duties at the school. Mrs. Jan Howland, who was in that position for five years needed to be at home helping in preparations pre-parations for the open- ing of the How lands' United Un-ited Campground. Mrs. Howell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bigelow, has been working at school all year as a teachers aide. |
