Trys Out Trailer . . j Mr. and Mrs. Alma Scovill tried out their new travel trailer last w eek. Alma had a week's vacation, so they hitched the new trailer on and made a trip through Monument Valley, coming com-ing home by Page and up j past the southern Utah ' parks. Worked great, l.eona says, and they plan to use it further this summer. Their former for-mer travel trailer burned burn-ed two years ago and they missed this outdoor recreation entirely last summer. Chamber Meets . . . Green River Chamber of Commerce met at a banquet meeting at the Book Cliff Cafe on Friday. Fri-day. Special guests were State Koad Commissioner Commis-sioner Sam Taylor of Moab, District Design Engineer Archie Hamilton Hamil-ton and Steve Lawson, Information Director of the State Department of Highways. Also there, were the Emery County Commissioners, Gar-dell Gar-dell Snow and Glenn Jones. Mrs. Snow was also a guest. Chairman of the Board Ted Ekker conducted con-ducted the meeting, w ith a few matters of business bus-iness attended to. Mr. Hoggan, new owner of the Book Cliff complex was introduced and expressed ex-pressed his pleasure at being made a part of the community. Mrs. Pearl Baker spoke about the Western Canyonlands brochure, which seems to be bogged down in red tape again. After dinner, most of the guests attended the State Road meeting on re-alignment of 1-70 south of Green River. |
