Show Nursing Home Information Now Being Circulated Brochures discussing ie proposed nursing tome for Grand County are being distributed this eek by members of the Woman's Literary Club :o registered voters in ire County. The brochures bro-chures were authorized last week by members of ie Grand County Com-r.ission Com-r.ission to help acquaint voters with the project. The proposed home w ill .Live a 50 bed capacity r:h 24 semi-pviva"e and : private rooms, tsu-mied tsu-mied cost of the facility is S950.00O completely furnished and equipped, ar.d it is to take between 24.000 and 30.000 square feet of land. It is to be constructed across from the present Allen Me- TTiAril Hncnifil Voters will go to the polls in a special bond election June 5, to register regis-ter their preference on the measure. There will be no special registration registra-tion days between now and the election, although voters may register at the County Clerk's office of-fice at any rime prior to ten days before the election elec-tion day. Plans for the facility ere drawn up by Jackson, Jack-son, Sharp and Pinegar Architects of Salt Lake City and are now available avail-able for public inspection inspec-tion at the Grand County Courthouse, in the office f the County Clerk. Anticipated monthly charges for tne facility will be S15.S0 per day or S475 per month for skilled nursing care and $10.19 per day or S305 per month for intermediate interme-diate care. Monthly charges include routine nursing home care, food and room. They do not include treatments, medication, or doctors fees. The nursing home is staffed 24 hours per tiy and will require 20-40 20-40 trained emplovees, Hope--1 -) on the cen 's. na'nnea in the construction con-struction are a recreation recre-ation and TV room, beau-ay beau-ay shop, barber shop, dining area, hobby shop and gift shop. Also plan -ned are a physical therapy ther-apy room and treatment room. There will be no age limit, however, only a doctor with admitting privileges can admit a patient to the nursing home. If authorized by the voters, bonds will be issued is-sued in the amount not to exceed S950.000. It is anticipated that these bonds can be repaid in 20 years or less from the proceeds of an approximate ap-proximate 1 mill increase in-crease pluss S20,000per year from city revenue sharing, and 840,000 per year from county revenue reve-nue sharing. However, if revenue sharing is dropped after the first three year period, it would cost an additional 3 mills or a total of 4 mills to repay the bonds. |
