There are 42 rigs running run-ning in the State with 32 rigs active in the north - eastern Utah area. The others are widely scattered. scat-tered. At the beginning of May, Utah had 50 wells drilled. . .25 oil wells,-8 wells,-8 gas and 17 dry holes, about even with the rate of the same period last year.
