Show Devi! News Briefs . . PROOFS ARRIVE ... Proofs of Senior portraits arrived this week at Grand County High School. Monday, Sept. 22 is the deadline for seniors sen-iors to make their choices before the final orders are seat to Curtis Photographers, a Grand Junction firm. Juniors at Grand County High School ordered their class rings last week. The rings were ordered from Jostens, a nationwide na-tionwide company that has sold class rings at Grand County High School for a number of years. BROKEN ARM . . . Senior halfback Bob Knight was missing from the Red Devil football lineup last week in the game against Green River due to a broken arm he received in practice earlier this week. He will not play for six to eight weeks but reports that the arm should heal correctly. VICTORY DANCE - . . A victory dance was held last Friday night following the football victory over Green River. Music was provided by The Midnight Reflections, a local band. PLAN YEAR'S PROJECTS .. . . Class Sponsors at Grand County High School met with their respective classes Monday to decide on money-making and other projects to be carried out this year. Committees were appointed by Senior Class President, Steve Boyden to plan the Slave Sale, Pollock Dance, and Senior Snowball, annual Senior-sponsored activities. Magazine Maga-zine sales are to be used by the Juniors as part of tint, efforts to raise money for the big vent of the year, the Junior 'Prom. Sophomores discussed the coming year and projects to raise money, further decisions concerning the election of their remaining class officers will be made later. PICTURES TAKEN . . . Juniors and Sophomores had their pictures taken early this week by National School Studios, Inc. These pictures should be returned in about three weeks. From them, the Journalism department will also be provided with a copy of each to appear in the l'JJO-7:) Mogranduh. HONOR SOCIETY ELECTION . . . Grand Chapter of the National Honor Society recently elected their l9-70 club officers. Sharron Patterson is club President with Dennis Bailey, Vice President, and Merlen; Day, Secretary. |
